Tsugaru Longcase | mottled red with red velvet

This pre-owned hardcase comes in mottled red and has a soft red velvet lining. It is Futozao/Tsugaru Shamisen sized, but of course smaller shamisen will fit as well. This case is in great condition and will serve you for ages. The handle has sure seen better times. I guess it has been exposed to sun or heat too much. I recommend wrapping it in tape – but I don’t want to interfere with your creative choice on a contrasting or matching color. Another neat detail thing about this shamisen case: There’s extra feet on the bottom short side of the case and an extra handle on the upper short side, which makes it safe and easy to store it in an upright position as well. The outer shell is synthetic and water repellent.

Not having to take your instrument apart to transport it is a huge game changer, because you’re always ready to whip out your shamisen and play. Keeping your instrument assembled means it practically stays in tune. The hard shell keeps your instrument safe from people, doors and sneaky corners attempting to bump into your shamisen.
